Hello writing world,
After way too long of not doing much, I finally got the Second Edition of my first book, The Shadow of the Past, up on Amazon, available in Paperback and Kindle.
This second edition includes some cleaned up grammar, a few passages have been rewritten and reworked, although non of them significantly or in a way that changes the story. I’ve added some improved formatting, a table of contents and a custom cover of my own design. Much of the last month has involved my work on said cover as I have explored some different options and finally decided to create my own. I will write about this in more detail in a future post, but ultimately, to avoid having to deal with the legal and rights issues that could come along with commissioning cover art, I decided to create my own. I am not sure I would call it good art, for arts sake, but it captures a pivotal scene from the story well, and I am quite proud of the result.
I weighed the option of creating a map for the world of Si’ranna, but ultimately decided against it. I felt that it would be too much time and effort for too little ultimately added to the story.
