As usual, below is an excerpt on which I would LOVE to read your thoughts and feedback on! Liking, sharing and subscribing to my website would help me out greatly, as would checking out my books and socials!

Tanara awoke with a start, knife in hand, blinking in the blinding light in her face. This was how she awoke most mornings but it was still a moment of surprise to find herself lying in a soft bed, in an open pavilion, one of several linked by arched bridges around the pool at the bottom of a waterfall. She had been there healing, and hiding she thought with annoyance, for months since the battle. It was the small corner of the Divine Realm that was ruled by Fla’ana, the River Goddess.
She rose and dressed quickly, grabbed some of the food that always seemed to be on a small table near the bed, and went down to the river. She did not say anything to Maelith, they would follow at some point, they always did. The river that flowed from the pool at the base of the waterfall was only a few inches deep, with rocks of countless colors visible through the crystal-clear water. Various larger stones stuck above the water.
Tanara had eaten the little bit of bread and fruit that she had brought with her before she reached the riverbank. She was dressed in her leather armor, with all of her old weapons, save for the short sword she had left behind, in their familiar places. Even in such a hallowed place and with the skill and power of their host, it had taken time to heal her injuries, and she still found the shoulder she had dislocated and the hip which had taken the knife stiffer than she would have liked. And so, for the past several weeks, she had all her time down on and around the pool and river practicing all of her old skills, shaking off the stiffness and rebuilding the strength and agility she had lost through the winter she had been healing.
I hope you all have a wonderful day, get the chance to do or experience something creative, and I’ll catch you on the next one!
