Good Evening Everyone! I hope that this Wednesday has been Wonderful to you all. Another nice bit of writing for today, and continuing to make steady progress on Chapter 16. I hope hoping to get it down by the end of the weekend.

The grumbling was growing louder and louder, but another group of guards reinforced the first, clearly this was something that had been planned for. When it was finally their turn to reach the guard, the soldier that held up his hands for them to start seemed tired and frustrated. “Halt! You two are not familiar to us. What is you business in Valkas Cor?”
Tanara produced the scroll with the map of the rivers of the Continent of Mysteries, rolled tight, waived it quickly in front of the guard’s face before quickly returning it to her bags, “We ‘ave been sent to carry ‘is message to the Underlords. We ‘ave orders no to show ‘em to any but them.”
The guard seemed skeptical of this, “and who is the message from?”
“’at I was bidden no to reveal to any.”
The guard, and two more that were watching nearby in case of any trouble, looked Tanara and Maelith, shrouded in their cloaks, up and down. The soldiers then glanced at each other, a trio of shrugs went around and the main guard spat as he responded, “well get on then, follow this road straight and it will take you up the hill to where you’ll find them. Now, don’t go telling anyone we held you up, we are just doing our duty.”
“’ank you, kind sir,” Tanara gave a slightly theatric bow and the two of them rode on.
Tanara heard the lead soldier mutter to his companions, “bit suspicious if you ask me, but they’ll need more details than that to get through the inner wall.”
