My name is Jon Holtgrefe and I have published two books on Amazon. The Shadow of the Past and And the Sun Burned Red are available both in paperback and e-book there. I am currently working on a third book, When Gods Do Meddle, which I am hoping to have a rough draft of done by the end of the year or early next year.
I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, but have been living in Oregon since 2009. I have been interested in fantasy for as long as I can remember, starting with my dad reading The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings to me when I was 4-5 years old. I have been coming up with stories and adventures of my own since I was a child, and would write scraps of some ideas in writing assignments in Middle and High School. I started seriously writing between my Sophomore and Junior years of Undergrad and while it was initially very sporadic, I have been more and more developing a good writing pattern.
I am married, we have two Pit/Great Dane mix dogs, I love to bake, and I love researching and studying History (what my Master’s Degree is in) and the impacts and weight of history and how that evolves over time. This is a major influence in my work, as well as exploring all the various biases people bring into their lives which often impact how they view events. I love Movies and TV show, often in the science fiction genre, although my interests there are wide.
